Solid State is billing and hosting software with the domain and hosting reseller in mind. Right now the project is temporarily inactive
Thanks for visiting - unfortunately Solid State is anything but solid at the moment, however version 0.4.1.1 is still available for download from Sourceforge. For version 4.1 users there is a small patch available to fix a problem with email encoding also at Sourceforge.
In early 2007 the original developer dropped the project and I picked it up in an effort to keep what was a sorely need application alive.
I haven't ever really been able to put the time that is warranted into it and in mid 2007 Samer in Lebanon took it on. He also came up against the need to make a living rather than work on an open source project and after doing a lot of work bowed out at the end of 2007. Then euhost said they would take it on and after hearing nothing for months and months and given they removed the website, I have to assume they have also lost interest...sigh...
March 2009 and Yves from hosting-skills.org has expressed interest so let's see what happens from here.
The reason for the new look website is to cut down the noise until we get this back up and running again. I want to get back to basics. For now, a simple website and let's focus on the project.
<!-- Right now Solid State is floundering and in need of a lead developer willing to take it on. If you are interested here is what you need to know:
- It is a do-able project and version 0.5 is well down the track to being finished but there is still a fair bit of work to be done
- It is assumed that you are someone who is a domain reseller or similar so you understand the needs of end-users of the application
- You would need medium to high level PHP skills including object programming
- You would need to be motivated and committed
- You would need to agree to keep it as an Open Source application
- Hosting, domain etc is all provided free of charge
- Where you are in the world is irrelevent -->
You are here because you are after some billing software...there is a significant demand for something like Solid State but it needs someone to nurse the next version to release.
